Airmen from the Kentucky Air National Guard (USA) participated this summer in joint exercises with NATO partners. The training took place in Scotland with participation from military personnel from the United Kingdom and Canada. The objective of the exercise was to improve the operational skills of American guardsmen and strengthen cooperation with alliance partners. Such exercises are part of a regular cooperation program between the armed forces of NATO countries, aimed at increasing readiness for joint operations and exchanging experience among military specialists from different nations. The participation of the National Guard in international exercises underscores its role not only in domestic defense tasks, but also in supporting the United States' global commitments to its alliance partners.
