The British Foreign Office has announced the appointment of a new ambassador to the Republic of Yemen. Ann Snow MBE will take up the post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of His Majesty in this country. She will succeed Abdu Sharif OBE in this position, who previously represented British interests in Yemen. The appointment is part of the regular rotation of British diplomatic personnel. The change of ambassador occurs at a time when Yemen continues to face a complex political and humanitarian situation, while the international community maintains its attention on resolving the conflict in the country. The new ambassador will assume her duties in accordance with the standard procedures of the British diplomatic service.
