Britain's representative to the OSCE, Ambassador Holland, made a statement condemning Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine's civilian and energy infrastructure. According to him, such actions undermine efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement and demonstrate Moscow's lack of intention to conduct constructive negotiations. Holland emphasized that a just and lasting peace is possible only if Britain and the international community maintain and strengthen their support for Ukraine. He called on Britain's allies and OSCE partners to increase economic pressure on Russia, including the expansion of sanctions measures, to compel the Kremlin to engage in serious negotiations. In the opinion of the British diplomat, without further pressure on Russia's economy and military potential, the chances of ending hostilities and beginning a full-fledged peace process remain minimal. The statement was made during a meeting of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, where the situation in Ukraine was discussed. The British side confirmed its intention to continue providing Ukraine with military, financial, and humanitarian support until conditions are created for a just settlement of the conflict.
