At a UN Security Council meeting on the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program, UK Permanent Representative to the UN Sarah MacIntosh delivered remarks. In her statement, she emphasized that Iran must ensure unimpeded access for inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to all its nuclear facilities. According to the British representative, cooperation with the IAEA is a necessary condition for ensuring transparency of Iran's nuclear program and maintaining international trust. Britain, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, continues to insist on Iran's compliance with its international obligations in the field of nuclear non-proliferation. The issue of inspector access to Iranian facilities remains one of the key points in long-standing discussions between Tehran and the international community regarding the nature and purposes of its nuclear program.
